Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. The massage is tailored to your needs where our physical function can be developed, maintained and improved. Physical dysfunction, pain, and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented by releasing endorphins that help to uplift and reduce depression.
Hot Stone massage
Hot stone massage is a soothing, relaxing therapeutic treatment where smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body such as your back, hands and soles of your feet.
The massage therapist technique holds the heated stones as they massage your body using Swedish massage techniques used to reduce stress and anxiety, and ease muscle tension and pain. It promotes sleep; helps increase blood flow to affected areas, and may also increase flexibility and rage of motion.
If you are pregnant and/or have chronic condition that causes pain, talk to your doctor to see if a hot stone massage is a good option for you.
Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue. The benefits of prenatal massage include a wide range of physical emotional and psychological benefits. The expecting mom is propped up on her side with a specialized pregnancy pillow for comfort as the massage therapist performs the massage.
Massage is a great way for you and your partner to bond with your baby. The massage therapist will demonstrate techniques you can utilize at home for your baby, in order to encourage digestion and bowel movements when constipated, improve circulation, and promote sleep and relaxation.
Silicone Cupping Therapy
Effective manual technique used to soften rigid soft tissue, loosen and lift connective tissue, as well as break up and drain stagnation while increasing blood and lymph flow to the skin, organs, and muscles.
